Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with gospel, soul music and R&B. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway as well as at various festivals across Europe as well as the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine, whose given name has been given as Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing piano and singing in the church. She studied at Spellman College and began to learn the R&B style of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You the House, came out only in Japan. It has been remixed several times, and has become a staple in her live performance. She has also contributed her vocals on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. The year 2005 saw Tyler Perry hired her as the primary keyboardist in his stage show Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the stage production of Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was noticed by America during the four performances per day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be requested to sing with the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
