Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman from the United States. She is the owner and president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and was raised as part of a rich family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur with a real estate business who later became owner of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. Her parents parted ways in 1972 which made her feel emotionally left behind. When she was 19 years old, she took over the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as General Manager. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She was president of the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice president of the Lakers. Buss was the inheritor of Lakers ownership Lakers through her father's estate in 2013. Her five siblings took over the franchise through an trust. Her duties were assumed as the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is the owner of Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles the organization which encourages professional wrestling.
